My friend told me about this place and asked me to go as their crêpes were good. I had little knowledge about crêpes, today I was in Wanchai so I just wanted to find out more😁 Ordered the $88 Afternoon Tea Set, chose "La Snikers", with Nutella, Salted Butter Caramel, Whipped Cream & Peanuts; added a scoop of Caramel Ice Cream for $20, and a Cappuccino for extra $10😁 Crêpes originated in Brittany, a region in the west of France. The owner of this restaurant is from Brittany too, and he sometimes cooks for the customers. So I assume the crêpes and galettes here are pretty authentic. He's also very helpful in explaining the menu and answering questions about the food😁 My "La Snikers" came in no time. It was quite sweet, but surprisingly light and not heavy at all. So it was easy to eat. The crêpe, as expected, was very thin, with great smell of hazelnut & caramel😋. The added whipped cream & Caramel ice-cream gave additional flavors, making the taste even more complex😋. It was an interesting & delicious new experience to me😋 I guess I would like to find out more about crêpes. It looks easy to prepare but I think it requires a lot of skills. To make an evenly thin crêpe, it is critical to have a batter without lumps, which is quite difficult ... This time I had the sweet crêpes, I will be back for the savory galettes😋

It was almost 2pm when I eventually had time for lunch. I spotted this restaurant which looked quite cozy and had no hesitation to walk in.


Ordered the $148 Set Lunch, chose Garden Salad as the Starter, Roast Beef Rice (+$10) as the Main Course, and Tiramisu as the Dessert.


Garden Salad was fresh, simple but pretty delicious😋. There was a hint of sesame flavor which smelled great. Then came the Beef Rice. The presentation was great😍: beef in pink, sauce in yellow, egg yolk in reddish orange, and garnished with some herbs in green. Obviously it's Japanese style twisted. The beef was thinly sliced, very tender & juicy😋. What came in surprise was that yellow sauce, it was amazingly delicious, but I just couldn't tell what was inside. I was told later there were ginger, garlic, shallot, onion, sesame, etc，all blended together to become a very smooth sauce. This sauce packed a huge load of UMAMI😋 and it's really yummy to go with the beef & rice. It was also interesting to have this Gyudon in an Italian restaurant.


Tiramisu was smooth, and Cappuccino was delicious too😋


Set Lunch here was surprisingly delectable, and was really great value for money😊. Will come back for dinner.

My friend took me to this restaurant as she said it was one of her favorites. She said it was spacious & the food was good, and she wanted me to try out. It's a 3-minute walk from the subway station. Inside the restaurant there are big wooden tables & chairs which I like, and there are also a lot of blue flowers paintings on the wall. Yes it's quite spacious & relaxing. There is a swinging bench which I guess kids & young girls like to take pics there. Ordered 3 types of oysters to share with my friend: Smoky Bay from Australia, Irish Rock from Ireland, Fine de Claire from France. Some creamy some a bit crunchy some full of the taste of seawater. All super fresh & delicious. I had a medium rare 10oz US Ribeye Steak ($278). It had a relatively firm texture, super rich taste, very flavorful and juicy finish. Chef grilled it just right with the inside still pink. Credits to the chef. Washed down the ribeye with House Red, which was a very easy-to-drink Australia Shiraz. Great price at $58 a glass. My friend ordered Roasted Barramudi (seemed Thai Style) & she said it was delicious too. Enjoyed a great evening with my good friend.
