To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 同好姊妹聚餐,朋友見鴨大哥在某些平台上賣$1080午市四人套餐,於是call哂姊妹出席,還網上先付。不過現場發現即時也可選擇這個套餐,完全沒分別。四人套餐先有北京烤鴨半隻,賣相精緻,每人有兩塊包鴨皮,味道不錯。點心可選四款,我們選了水晶餃王、蟹籽燒賣、台式手抓餅及五香鴨絲春卷。蝦餃和燒賣跟平常高級酒樓貨色差不多,台式手抓餅有點太油,反而五香鴨絲春卷非常鬆脆。湯品可選一款,我們選了鴨絲酸辣湯。酸辣湯非常濃厚,也很足料,飲完一碗已經飽了一半。粉麵飯可選一款,我們選了5柳鴨絲炆米粉,炆米炒得非常香口。 continue reading

好想食北京烤鴨,上網找推介,搜尋到這間鴨大哥,看過飲食誌網評,看過Open Rice 食客評價,評價均高。加上幾次想Book Open Rice 晚市85折優惠都落Book 唔到。心諗一定是很旺場。開心地終於Book 到,一行三人就去試試看。 Book 20:00,19:45去到,接待員都好好,安排我們立即入坐,不限時。入到去,未見滿座。因為一位友人未到,我哋又驚會賣曬烤鴨就問職員可否先留起一隻,叫上。職員說沒問題。 然後很快先上兩碟烤鴨配菜,我們有點詫異不是叫上嗎?職員說先放著。但未幾,有一隻小蚊之飛到配菜上,我們就叫職員更換,或有沒有蓋先蓋著,職員好像也猶豫一回才收起兩碟配菜,然後見他不是立即倒掉,而是放在出菜位旁的備菜檯,然後再拿回廚房放在其他的配菜碟上(像沒事發生一樣),壓力就來了,我就一直望著碟配菜,看看有否再拿出來,結果最後也是拿回這兩碟配菜給我們。 當時我覺得既然職員咁都做得出,你再叫佢換都無謂啦。咁就放著不吃好了。 鴨來了,是香的(但香是基本吧),首先是給你看一隻全鴨,然後職員會拿回入廚房片。但個人認為呢個動作有啲無謂,因為你拎番入面片,換咗第二隻比我都唔知啦。咁片完出嚟,入口都香的,不差,但未致於網上食評講到咁驚為天人。啲皮雖然有火爐烘著,但也是凍的,「鞋」口的。我們再有叫椒鹽豆腐(外脆內軟少辣,但很快變淋),鐵板啫啫通菜(唔知點解啫啫會係勁辣,不是蝦醬嗎?職員說因有椒絲,但餐牌不是這樣寫吧?!)小籠包(全晚最好吃,夠熱多汁)。第二個壓力是,網上寫餐廳收22:30, 到21:00就說Last Order, 21:30陸續客人都離場,職員就收拾收拾,不停看你張檯有冇野執走,根本成餐飯都不能放鬆,感覺要鬥快吃完?!但都還肯幫你加熱茶嘅。總括來說,食物不致讓我回頭,服務一般不是好好,也不能說差,或者趕收工是人之常情。淡市怪得誰?! 一試無妨,但或者早點去會好啲,同埋唔好太介意有蚊之可能會侵佔你的食物。其他野就自己衡量了。 continue reading

We've ordered a set for two. The portion is unreasonably small. We found an insect in one of the small dishes and asked the waiter to change it. We were surprised that we were treated as if it was our problem. The atmosphere there was unpleasant and unwelcoming. At the end, when the captin in green jacket gave us the bill, he didn't even bother to say a word or look at us. We are disappointed. Will never return to it again.
