Right at the middle were appetizers with some pre-made dishes. Some were even presented in small jars.  I tried a prawn cocktail of which the mango sauce tasted very good. Also tried a radish appetizer which was just so-so.

Cold seafood included crabs, prawns and 翡翠螺. I hadn't tried so couldn't comment.

Highlight of the meal was sashimi & sushi! They offered salmon, swordfish, shrimps, egg and crab stick sashimi. I was quite surprised that there were shrimps, which normally weren't served at lunch buffets like this.

I was then even more surprised to see this 海膽帶子爆丼!

There were quite some choices of sushi. There were even scallop, grilled tuna and grilled salmon sushi.

We immediately asked for 海膽帶子爆丼. We asked for some extra shrimp sashimi! The portion of the sashimi rice was just right, not much to fill your stomach and was of very good quality. The uni was fresh as well as the scallops and the salmon roes! It was very yummy! This one was great value for money for a lunch buffet like this.

I tried some salmon, swordfish, shrimp and egg sashimi. The quality of the salmon and shrimp sashimi was quite good.

I tried scallop, grilled tuna and grilled salmon sushi which were all good even the quality of the rice! The size of the rice was reasonably tiny. Again the quality of the sushi was pretty good for a lunch buffet like this.

There was a salad bar which I hadn't tried much. The kidney beans and sweetcorns I tried were just so-so.

There was no steak but roasted pork loin and lamb leg. I tried some pork loin which was reasonably tender.

The mains were nicely presented at the back of the buffet hall. There were duck breasts, pork, beef, fish, chicken, Chinese-style vegetables, Indian curry, Chinese and Western soup etc. There was only 1 type of dim sum which was xiaolongbao. The wrap looked so thick that I didn't try.

I think the mains were ok in general with Thai-style pork neck being particularly outstanding as they were very delicious with very appetizing sauce and nice crispy texture! The Chinese-style beef was only so-so with weird sauce, not the usual red one I liked. The pork shank was ok. The steamed eggs with black truffle and scallops was ok only, as I had expected a stronger flavour of black truffle. The asparagus was from the salad bar and was ok only.

I also tried duck breasts not in these photos which were pretty tender than average and cooked in a delicious sauce. I wanted to eat more veggies but there didn't seem to be many attractive choices so I even went for curry veggies which were mainly mushrooms.

There was a noodle bar with ingredients like prawns looking so appealing. Yet I only tried some boiled vegetables which tasted pretty good. As the mains were overall not so attractive, very soon I turned to the dessert tables.

There were so many different kinds of cakes and were very nicely presented. There was 1 type of Chinese sweet soup and also sweet tofu. There was also a waffle station for you to make your own waffle. It would have been better if someone could help out as we tried once but failed without much instructions. There was even a chocolate foundtain of which I forgot to take a photo.

There were some small puddings, jelly presented in a small fridge. The labels could have been clearer so that we knew which was which. I tried mango pudding and durian pudding which were so delicious. Even though I hated durian, I found the durian pudding very smooth and delicious and had 2!

There were Dreyer's and Movenpick ice-cream. There was even Dreyer's mini triple chocolate ice-cream bar. The other 2 types of Dreyer's were mango and pistachio. For movenpick, there were standard chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. I had to admit that the ice-cream was not so attractive overall so I allocated my quota to more cakes than usual.

There were some more cakes contained in this glass cabinet. Unfortunately the green tea cakes were not served openly on the dessert table so I didn't ask for them.

My first plate of desserts was a bit disappointing as the creme brulee was too sweet and the layer of sugar on top was too thick. The blueberry cheesecake was worse than average while the mango Napoleon was not so crispy. There were mixed berries everywhere as toppings on many cakes and they were the best on this plate!

I just tried a black sesame macaron. The taste was good but it was too thick and not crispy enough.

This cinnamon tart was very good! It was so thin and crispy yet so rich in cinnamon. It went great with cold ice cream or even by itself! I encored a few times!

The quality of their other cakes was better! The dark chocolate and banana cake with caramel on top of this plate was very delicious, of which i had two pieces! The bread pudding with vanilla sauce on the right was quite good! The cinnamon tart with Dreyer's pistachio ice cream was super good as I described earlier!

There were a few types of fruits but the melons, pineapples and dragon fruits didn't look so appealing. I only tried some watermelons which were quite nice.

Instead I took some hami melons from the chocolate fountain area. They were very juicy and sweet!

For hot drinks, it was self service at a corner of the dining hall. Or you could order cold tea/coffee included in the price.

Service was very attentive with helpful and polite servers. One of them even offered to take photos for us when they saw us taking photos of each other. The overall variety and quality of the food was much better than expected, especially the sashimi/sushi and cakes. The only complaint was that I saw some flies flying around the food a few times. Lucky that I had no stomachache afterwards.

At such a price with 40% discount from openrice, it was definitely a very good-value-for-money lunch buffet.
