Finally had the chance to try this restaurant from Vancouver with a friend on Sunday. I made a reservation online in advance but turned out it wasn’t necessary for that time of the day. The place was quite vacant at noon on that Sunday. No waiting time was needed even for walk-in. We were seated at a small table on the ground floor.

It wasn’t spacious but it was sufficient for two people.

The branch manager brought us the menus and recommended us to try their signature dish - Savoury Crêpe Française. We decided to go for the signature dish with an additional fried egg. We also ordered Sweet Crêpe Grecque and Whistler (beer brewed and fermented in BC).

I was super excited to taste some Vancouver cuisine again especially since so many Vancouverites said that this restaurant “tastes just like Vancouver” after trying it themselves.

First and foremost came the Whistler Honey Lager. That just made my day. Looks the same and tastes the same. Truly a product of Canada. It is even printed as such on the bottle.

Next came Savoury Crêpe Française. The highlight was the super tender pulled duck confit and the sweet caramelized onions.

Finally came our dessert, Sweet Crêpe Grecque. The highlight had to be the vanilla ice cream. Meanwhile pistachio and whole honey comb served together gave a very unique flavour.

Just a point to note, there was a 10% service charge.

All in all, it was a very happy dining experience and enjoyable afternoon spent at a familiar Vancouver restaurant. Highly recommend all homesick Canadians to give it a try, especially those of you also from Vancouver!
