Climbing the mid levels escalators on a daily basis, our eyes were drawn to this new restaurant.Partial to Thai cuisine wherever we find ourselves, we naturally took it upon ourselves to book a table. Ah Loy is the word I will say to others, which means yummy in Thai.
First, we ordered a coconut chicken soup.
The generous serving did not disappoint, providing us enough for three bowls between the two of us. Delighting us goes with sensational flavours and textures perfectly selected ingredients included mushroom cherry tomatoes onions and some boneless chicken pieces.
I like this soup because it’s mild, sweet and soothing. It really feels like it takes your palettes on a journey.
A fine selection of six different skewers, including chicken, pork, beef, big pork balls, smaller pork balls, and a special Thai marinated pork.
The sauce is quite simply sensational vibrant in taste. The sourness and spiciness took the meat flavours to the next level.
In Thailand, originally people will eat this marinated pork snack raw. It is very unique that the restaurant decided to put it as one of their skewers which was caramelised beautifully.
Another substantial serving of succulent Thai Basil minced pork fried rice with a fried egg and some prawn crackers on the side.
A fantastic main meal that can work well for one or shared by two.
If you were in Thailand, you would definitely order sticky mango rice for dessert. However this restaurant is very innovative, they try to combine different peoples favourite into one special dessert, which is the perfect choice in this hot summer days.
The dessert consists of shaved mango ice, mango ice cream cubes and sticky rice in the middle.
this crescendo dish really does deliver a party in your palette with the sweet fruity and coconuty orgasm.
A complete Thai dinner was consumed in such a nice chill environment with some Thai music playing in the background.
