eateries in the Austin road area have became my recent favorite. Tonight, my friend and I were in the area and were craving for seafood and steaks, so decided to give lab eat a try.we arrived around 7:30 on a weekday, a couple tables have been seated already. the restaurant was quite spacious, a long cocktail bar facing the door, I think I should give their drinks a try We ordered oysters for appetizers, two dinner sets (ranging $188 to $328) and two drinks. I got myself a passion fruit sling, it was very refreshing, not too sweet at all, perfect for the summer.

As for salad, I had a caesar. They didn't serve the bacon in bits, nor chunks, but in one whole piece, which I kinda like it. It was crispy and not oily at all. And they were pretty generous on the cheese too, not bad!

The main came with a bit disappointment. I had the angus beef, and it was a lil rough as it was overdone..and I also find that salsa sauce not a perfect complement to steaks...The manager explained to us that roughness is the quality of angus beef...

The dinner set comes with a dessert too, it was a green tea mousse. I only had a bite (the cake was so-so) since the set really came with a lot (too much!) food!

Overall, I like the service of the restaurant, the staffs have been very attentive. If you're those who's looking for value, Lab Eat would definitely be the one to go to as the dinner set really came with a lot of well portion sized food. However, I think that there's room for improvement for the main and dessert.
